Work-from-home jobs, checked by hand and sent to your inbox

Part-time and full-time UK jobs you can do fully from home. I read every listing before it reaches you, so you don't get hybrid roles, commission-only schemes or "remote" jobs that want you in Manchester on Tuesdays.

What I leave out

Job sites tag almost anything as remote. These are the ones you won't get from me.

  • "Remote"

Then, three paragraphs down: two days a week in the office.

  • "Work from home"

Commission only, MLM schemes, or a starter kit you have to buy first.

  • "Flexible"

Field-based, own car needed, covering three counties.

  • "UK remote"

A US company on US hours.

How it works

  1. Choose your alerts

    Tick the ones you want:

    • Part-time fully remote
    • Part-time with occasional meetings
    • Full-time fully remote

Then choose how often you hear from me: every morning, just the Friday roundup, or both.

  2. I dig through the job boards so you don't have to

Every day I go through a couple of hundred listings from the job boards you've heard of, and the ones you haven't. I open each one and read the whole advert, because the catch is usually halfway down: "two days a week in the office", "must have own car", "commission only".

Most don't make it. Only the ones that are properly remote go to you.

  3. Jobs come to your inbox

No app, no login, nothing to remember to check. Daily alerts land in your inbox each morning. Each one has the most direct link to apply, and where I can, a link to the company's website so you can find out more about them first. The Friday roundup has the whole week's jobs in one email.

Why daily alerts

Genuinely remote jobs, and part-time ones especially, get a lot of applications. I've seen good jobs taken down after just a day or two because the employer already had enough people.

So I send them out the day I find them. The earlier you apply, the better your chance of being seen.

No regular office days

If a job needs you in an office on a regular basis, it isn't in the club.

Some employers want to meet up a few times a year. I allow up to about six in-person days a year, and those jobs are always tagged so you can skip them.

  • Fully remote, work from home In
  • A few in-person days a year In, tagged
  • Freelance and self-employed In, tagged
  • Hybrid, with set office days Out
  • Commission-only, sales or MLM Out
  • Needs a car or driving licence Out
  • No real employer named Out

Who it's for

Part-time or full-time, the club is for anyone who wants their job at home.

  • Full-time, no commute

A proper full-time role you can do from home, and the time and money you spent travelling back.

  • Parents

School-hours part-time work, or a full-time role that fits round the school run.

  • Second jobs and side income

A few extra hours a week from home, or freelance clients you can build on.

  • Non-drivers

Rural, no car, or just done with commuting.

Shelley Longden, founder of Remote Jobs UK Club

About me

Hi, I'm Shelley. I've worked fully remotely since 2019. For the last seven years I've done the admin and HR for a small publishing company, and for the past year I've done the same for a bakery business. I've also worked with a small charity, again 100% from home, and when I lived in Canada I had a remote job doing admin and social media for a company there.

So I know the UK remote job market, and I know how to spot a job that really is remote. I also know the headache of sifting through job boards that label things wrongly, or hide two office days a week halfway down an advert marked "remote".

I started Remote Jobs UK Club so you don't have to do that sifting. I read every listing before it goes out, and if it isn't properly remote, you won't get it.

Questions

Where do the jobs come from?

I search the big UK job sites, charity job boards and LinkedIn every day. Then I read each listing in full and only send the ones that really are remote.

How many jobs will I get?

It depends on what employers advertise that week. I only send jobs that pass my checks, so some weeks are busier than others.

Do I apply through you?

No. I always give you the most direct link I can find, usually straight to the employer's own application page rather than a job board. Where possible I also link the company's website, so you can see who they are before you apply. I don't see or handle your application.

What if a job turns out not to be remote?

Reply to the email and tell me. I'll check it and take it out.

Is it only UK jobs?

Yes. Every job is open to people living in the UK.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time. There's no minimum term.
